Mara Mamroud, M.S., CCC-SLP

Mara Cole Mamroud is a pediatric Speech- Language Pathologist serving children in Essex and Morris counties.  She received her B.A. in Hearing and Speech Sciences from the University of Maryland, and her M.S. in Communication Sciences from Hunter College in New York City.  She is certified by ASHA (American Speech-Language Hearing Association) and licensed in the state of New Jersey.

 

Her experience includes working with the pediatric population in a variety of therapeutic settings including homecare, preschools, elementary schools and private practices.  She conducts evaluation and treatment of children with a variety of speech and language needs, including:

 

Articulation disorders

Phonological process disorders

Receptive/expressive language disorders

Pragmatic language disorders

Autism/ PDD- NOS

Down's Syndrome

Other global developmental delays

 

Mara is PROMPT trained, and has also attended trainings on sensory-motor feeding techniques, story-telling, phonological disorders and integrating iPads and technology into therapy.  She has extensive experience working with PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) and AAC (Augmentative and alternative communication).
